The Christian life is personally impossible, it is impossible - TopicsExpress

The Christian life is personally impossible, it is impossible without the Holy Spirit –on our own. Trying to live the Christian life by your own efforts is like a ship trying to sail on dry land…; “I believe that one of the biggest reasons that the body of Christ hasn’t made a greater impact on our generation today is because of our failure to operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Without a doubt, Jesus and the first apostles used the gifts like a bell, calling men to their message and confirming that God was truly the One speaking through them”. Andrew Wommack Hebrews 2:3-4 says, “How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?” The Lord bore witness to the accuracy of their message through miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit. In Mark 16:17-18, Jesus said all true believers would flow in the miraculous: “And these signs will follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” The vast majority of preaching and Christian living done in the name of the Lord today is still really without the power of the Holy Spirit manifest through the gifts of the Holy Spirit. This was, is not the way the Lord Jesus Christ had intended it to be.for sure..No one can have an effective life or ministry without the power of God’s Holy Spirit working in him or her. This fact can’t be argued by anyone who truly believes the Bible is God’s Word. The Scriptures are replete with proof that it is “not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the LORD of hosts” (Zech. 4:6). It is true that the Holy Spirit is still willing to move as in biblical times then there is no excuse for living lives so far removed from that great victory portrayed in God’s Word. If a Christian’s life isn’t full of the personal supernatural, it’s a pretentious one rather. Now the gifts of the Holy Spirit are always flowing.as God doesn’t turn them “on” and “off.” We are the ones who turn them “on” or “off.” The Lord Jesus Christ is always ready to flow through us in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. No one has received everything that the Holy Spirit has for them. Therefore, the Lord is always seeking to release more to us through His supernatural gifts. Whenever we put ourselves in a mode to be His channel, His gifts will flow Most churches have fallen away from ministering in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The gifts that operate even in in most “Spirit-filled” churches are simply words of exhortation or prophecy. There is much more even here . that should be manifested. 1 Corinthians 12:31, “But covet earnestly the best gifts.” 1 Corinthians 14:1, “Desire spiritual gifts.” You do also still have to seek these gifts with all your heart (Jer. 29:13). Thhs that also includes the nine Gifts of the Holy Spirit and the Spirit of Truth, Holiness, Wisdom, of the Fear of the Lord, of Counsel, Spirit of Grace and the Spirit of Knowledge. How to be Holy Spirit filled ? there are several Scriptural steps are most certainly initially involved. 1: In preparation for The Filling of the Spirit, Confess known sin and seek and receive forgiveness for all sin even by reliance on the related completed work of Jesus Christ on the cross for our sins. The Scriptures teach that God works in those who lead a humble, broken, contrite heart. 2 In further preparation for The Filling of the Spirit, one must become a confessed believer in Jesus Christ as Son of God who has made the full payment for our sins. Without this act, an acclamation of faith, one cannot be filled with the Holy Spirit, for biblically, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and of Christ. Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. Matthew 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. 33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. 3: Read examples of people being filled with the Holy Spirit in the new Testament. Such as Acts2:4, Acts10:44-46 and Acts19:1-6 – Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. 4: Pray for, Desire, seek to be fully controlled by the Holy Spirit, to be under the full influence of the Spirit or to be constantly led by God.. Personally Claim the promises of God that he will reveal himself and fill you with the Holy Spirit. .John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. Acts 17:27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? By faith claim the fullness of the Holy Spirit, according to: God’s command Be filled with the Spirit. “And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit” (Ephesians and His Promise – He will always answer when we pray according to His will. “And this is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked of Him” (1 John 5:14, 15) Pray “Dear Father, I admit I am a sinner, I do need You. I acknowledge that I have been directing my own life and that, as a result, I have sinned against You. I thank You that You have forgiven my sins through Christ’s death on the cross for me. I now invite Christ to again take His place on the throne of my life. Fill me with the Holy Spirit as You commanded me to be filled, and as You promised in Your Word that You would do if I asked in faith. I now thank You for directing my life and for filling me with the Holy Spirit.” Carnal Christians still cannot experience the Abundant and Fruitful Christian Life Carnal Man (One who has received Christ, but who lives in defeat because he is trying to live the Christian life in his own strength) Now Find and go to a good Church where they believe in the separate baptism of the holy spirit experience and get prayed on.. as every persons spirit filed in the new testament occurred by the laying on of hands.. Acts 8:14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: 15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost. Next your life will demonstrate more and more of the anointing of of the Holy Spirit ( acts 10:38) and you will reflect, be more and more conformed to the image of Christ (Romans 12:2; 2 Corinthians 3:18). Your prayer life and study of God’s Word will become more meaningful. You will experience His power in witnessing (Acts 1:8). You will be prepared for spiritual conflict against the world (1 John 2:15-17); against the flesh (Galatians 5:16-17); and against Satan (1 Peter 5:7-9; Ephesians 6:10-13). You will experience His power to resist temptation and sin (1 Corinthians 10:13; Philippians 4:13; Ephesians 1:19-23; 2 Timothy 1:7; Romans 6:1-16). 1 John 1: 1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) 3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. Acts 10:38 38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. comeholyspirit.wordpress/2013/04/26/operating-in-the-gifts-of-the-holy-spirit/;
