Start making plans in your head of how to fix it? Only later on when things have calmed down maybe you think I should have taken that to God? Or I have even come up with a solution and later realize God had a better solution lying ahead if only I had given it to him and some time. Let me give you an example that happened to me recently. Our water bill had gone up a good bit one month but didn’t think much of it until the next month when it had doubled! So I walked around the house and sure enough big puddle of water where our main goes under house. So what do I immediately, thought the worst! House flooding, massive plumbing bills, jacking up slab, you name it I thought of all the worst scenarios. So we stewed on it a couple of days and were outside doing some stuff on a Saturday and we ended up praying over our big hole of leaking water which is something I don’t do enough of. Then the girls went and got a fishing pole and fished the hole . I thought man something that seems so bad can be laughed at and taken a bit more lightly when we give it to God. So the next day was getting ready to go to church and look over at my dresser and see my check book, and God says to me Jason I want you to tithe today. What! But God I am going to have this massive plumbing bill coming up! I got this Jason remember you gave it to me. I have yet to get a bill for the work. The company we use I have given a lot of business to and when I called to check on the bill the lady said well the owner really likes you and he took the bill and wants to make sure you get a good deal. Why it is so tough to just hand it over to God instead of taking on the challenge ourselves is beyond me, but I challenge you to try it the next time you face adversity. Was in her 30’s and leaves behind a husband and 2 young kids. Please pray for family. From Jason Stolle: UPDATE- Sgt Tynes when in for a scan and almost all cancer is gone! Billy Tynes- He is a sergeant at the Waco police dept and he found out last week he has a rare kind of cancer, T cell histiocye B cell lymphoma. Please pray for him and his family. We found out last night she has throat cancer The youth of our church and our community Honduras From John Sartor: Please add Two of my co-workers to the prayer list: Monty Brown has been diagnosed with Leukemia, and cancer has also been detected in his bladder. Cynthia Hanna has been diagnosed with early stages of Lupus and will be starting chemo this week. Church at Tree Lake Hall of Fame JUST A LITTLE NOTE, TO MY CHURCH FAMILY; From Robert Stolle ON Wednesday night, I am the official bell ringer for the classes in the transformer program so I get a opportunity to do a bit of people watching. I see a lot of tired faces. But the one thing I do see is a whole lot of caring on those faces. We see a lot of kids from different walks of life. Lots of these little ones we deal with do not have good home life’s, so even though people are tired, or having problems of their own. They still show compassion to these little ones, lots of times speaking of myself I am too quick to judge what I see on the surface. But if I took the time to dig a bit deeper maybe I would understand what is really going on, I am forgetting my chains, the ones that had me captive before JESUS broke those chains & I was set free from sin. There are so many people that give their time & service to help these little one’s the meals that are cook & served on Wednesday night, the ones that teach , the ones that clean up , everyone does so much. So the next time a little one looks up at you please take the time to say you are special & JESUS LOVES YOU SO MUCH HE DIED FOR YOU !!
