The City continues to prepare for a high-rain event through Saturday morning. We have reached out to our normal partners (Green Mountain Power, VtNationalGuard, VtEmerMgmt, Catamount Radio) to ensure critical lines of communication are open. Red Cross has been contacted today and we have been advised that the local shelter location, if opened, will the the Leahy Center at RRMC. Residents should visit redcrossvtnhuv.org for personal preparedness info, and are still being asked to do their part and keep gutters and storm drains clear if debris is present. If asked to evacuate streets/neighborhoods please comply with public safety professionals’ orders.
