The City of Des Moines will be considering a proposal by Union Pacific Railroad to close Hull Ave. on the east and west side of the tracks just west of Delaware Ave. This will create dead-end neighborhoods. Hull Ave is an important street that connects east side neighborhoods with the north side.Many people on the east side use it to go to Union Park, the Snooseville small business area and to the Park Fair and the Highland Park shopping district. It connects us to our schools and small businesses we support and provides a direct route for emergency services. The city council will consider this proposal on JUNE 10TH (MONDAY) AT 4:30pm AT THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS located on Grand Ave and Robert D Ray Drive.Please join us at city hall for a "SHOW OF HANDS" of people who are against this proposal!!!
