The City of Jackson is installing new automated water meters that will transmit meter readings to the City of Jackson’s Central Water Billing System. The public should be aware that work crews with Siemens and M.A.C. & Associates will be driving vehicles with the logo M.A.C. City Contractor and workers will be wearing bright yellow or bright orange shirts with the logo M.A.C. METER TEAM. A worker will knock on each resident’s door to notify the resident immediately prior to installation. No one needs to be home. There will be a temporary service interruption while the water meter is being replaced – typically about 15 to 30 minutes.
