The City of Morgan Citys Sanitation Department will be off for the New Years holiday this Thursday, January 1, 2015. Friday, January 2, 2015s route will be picked up according to the regular schedule. Thursdays route will be picked up on Saturday, January 3, 2015. On Monday, January 5, 2015, the routes will return to the normal schedule. The area between Brashear Avenue, Levee Road, Federal Avenue and Sixth Street will be picked up tomorrow. (Normal route is today) This includes portions of the following streets: Sixth Street, Levee Road, Pecan Street, Tupelo Street, Cypress Street, Apple Street, Clements Street, Lawrence Street, Garber Street, Acorn Street, Orange Street, Leona Street, Willow Street, Louisa Street, Bush Street, Aucoin Street, Federal Avenue, Mayon Street, Hilda Street, Onstead Street, Marshall Street, Belanger Street, Bowman Street, Egle Street, Shannon Street, Terrebonne Street, General Macarthur Drive, Chester Bowles, General Clark, General Patton Street, General Hodges Street, Fourth Street, Missouri Street, Arenz Street and Brashear Avenue. The City of Morgan City will be open until 12:00 noon tomorrow, Wednesday, December 31, 2014 and will be closed on Thursday, January 1, 2015. City Hall will reopen on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. Have a safe and enjoyable New Years Holiday!
