The City of Rigby Library will be celebrating Family Reading Week this November by once again offering household library cards at a discount of $24 for a full year. This is available to anyone who lives outside of the city of Rigby and does include other counties. This promotion will begin November 18th and will carry through the end of the month. Gift membership cards are available and this promotion may be used on renewals. The Rigby Library has many resources available, including our dvd collection, a seed library, many new release books, e-audio books, e-books, story time for children, and many community events. We are also pleased to be expanding our spanish language book collection and we are adding a chinese language book collection to complement local school language immersion programs. The library has recently expanded its e-audio collection to 6,000 audio books and the e-book collection to 3,000 books. These can be checked out without ever setting foot in the library and are automatically returned when they are due. A smart phone, e-reader or computer is needed to access these books. The library is closed on Mondays and Sundays and will also be closed for Thanksgiving on November 26, 27, and 28th. Please contact the Rigby City Library at 745-8231 with any questions.
