The City of Sherbrooke is advising the population that it will be holding a special garbage collection reserved for victims of the recent floods. Those affected may now place residue and material damaged by floods by the curb. The city is asking, however, that wherever possible, wood should be piled separately from other damaged goods or materials. Following the Easter break, the city will be able to determine the exact date of this special collection. However, the City of Sherbrooke wishes to remind citizens that the first of two annual collections of bulky material and wood will take place as planned during the first three weeks of May. Consequently, only those affected by the floods will be allowed to place their waste now at curbside. The city thanks those affected for their cooperation and invites the public to call 819 821-5858 for any inquiries on this subject.
