The City of West and The West Police Department are excited and honored to announce Lt. Irving and Officer Pope as having been selected to receive the 2013 State of Texas Law Enforcement Achievement Award for Valor. Each year, the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE), formerly TCLEOSE, accepts nominations for the annual State of Texas Law Enforcement Achievement Awards. The awards are presented to selected peace officers, reserve officers, jailers, and custodial officers who are licensed by TCOLE. These nominees exceed the normal expectations of job performance through acts of professional achievement, public service, or valor. We are proud to have these fine men as a part of the City of West family!
