The Civil War officer that was posted earlier was Colonel Wm. Watton Frybarger, a soldier from Connersville who found a cannon and formed a company that marched to Indianapolis to join the Union Army. He was commissioned to decorate the State House when Lincolns funeral train passed through Indiana. His first wife, Desdemona Ginn, is buried at City Cemetery with their infant son Sammy and her parents and two of her sisters. She died in childbirth with Sammy, their third child, and Sammy passed a few days later. W.W. later married Desdemonas sister Amanda, and they are buried in City Cemetery on the Frybarger lot a short distance from the Ginn family graves.
