The Clean Up Mauritius project is an initiative of Francois de Grivel, Georges Chung and Yaneesh Jingree, in association with Kross border Corporate Services Limited represented by Mr Jayechund Jingree. It has been set up following the horrendous floods in February and March of this year. The aim is to have the Republic of Mauritius (including Rodrigues) completely clean by the 2nd December 2013 which marks the start of the rainy / cyclonic season. The key concept of the project is: • Mobilize 500,000 people to help clean up their local environment and surroundings; • Intervene to educate the population about the importance of sustainable development via the good practice of hygiene and appropriate waste disposal. The project is supported by the Ministry of Environment, the Maurice Ile Durable Commission and various private organisations.
