The Closed Door: Sometimes we face situations where we want God to open the door. Maybe a job opportunity, marriage, education, house, and even areas of ministry. We know God is a door opener and a door closer. And open door is not always in our best interest that is why we need God’s wisdom and guidance. Have you ever asked God; let not my decision be irreversible? A closed door can be God divine intervention! Jeremiah 10:23-24 O Lord [pleads Jeremiah in the name of the people], I know that [the determination of] the way of a man is not in himself; it is not in man [even in a strong man or in a man at his best] to direct his [own] steps. 24. O Lord, correct, instruct, and chastise me, but with judgment and in just measure--not in Your anger, lest You diminish me and bring me to nothing. (Amplified Bible) Sometimes the door may be closed because God desires only the best for us. Think of how much trouble we would get ourselves into if God said yes to everything. Consider this statement; “a blessing in a closed door.” 1. The door maybe closed to test our faith. 2. The door maybe closed to protect us from harm. 3. The door maybe closed to re-direct our path. 4. The door maybe closed to prevent us from making a terrible mistake. 5. The door maybe closed to buy us some time to be get ready for the blessing. 6. The door maybe closed to keep us from entering that relationship that is not of God. Sometimes when we least expect it, a door closes in our lives… Circumstances may change… Dreams may get shattered and plans for tomorrow may disappear… But whenever one door closes, God always opens another… When we are facing disappointment in our lives, sometimes it’s hard to see that this is also a part of God’s plan… but it’s true… God knows what is best for us, and He will lead us to where we need to be… Have faith in Him, and you will reach all the wonderful things that He has waiting for you. Jeremiah 29:11For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Amen
