The College will observe Constitution Day Wednesday, Sept. 17 with activities in the Wythe Hall Gallery on the Hampton campus and at the Historic Triangle campus in Williamsburg, 2nd Floor Landing. The observance will include voter registration by the League of Women Voters, trivia games and prizes. A 9:30 a.m. presentation in Hampton by Adjunct Professor Brian Croteau opens the observance in Hampton. Titled “James Madison and the Road to the Constitutional Convention,” the one-hour discussion will be followed by 12-2 p.m. activities college wide. At 1 p.m., Adjunct Professor Brian Stokes will present “The Principles and Foundation of the American Constitution” at the Historic Triangle campus in the library classroom. Constitution Day commemorates the signing of the U.S. Constitution by 39 Constitutional Convention delegates on Sept. 17, 1787.
