The Colorado Springs Police Department Auto Theft Task Force is asking for any information pertaining to the theft of a silver 1999 International Tow Truck stolen from the Earl Scheib Auto Body Shop located at 3250 East Platte Ave. In the early morning hours of March 10, 2014, an unknown person entered the locked storage yard of the business and took the tow truck without permission. There were other vehicles in the storage yard but the tow truck was the only vehicle taken. The truck was recovered severely damaged and non-repairable in eastern El Paso County. The loss of the tow truck has caused undue hardships on the business to include a loss of revenue.
