The Community Alliance newspaper is hiring an editor This is a paid position The Job: *We need someone to oversee the planning and production of the Community Alliance newspaper. *The editor will work with writers, photographers, and community members who submit material for publication. *The editor will review submissions, select those we will print, make changes if needed, and work with the copy editor to get them to layout/design by the deadline. Skills needed: *An understanding of investigative journalism, the legal aspects of newspaper publishing, the difference between a news story and an opinion piece and the ability to share that information with others. *An understanding of why we are building a movement for peace, social, and economic justice. *The ability to work with a diverse group of people. *Plan and lead meetings with staff and volunteers.
