The Community Foundation of Western Nevada has granted Safe Haven funding for several projects in recent years. This year they are presenting a challenge grant that requires 1:1 funding match. This challenge match is to motivate non-profits, such as Safe Haven, to ask donors to increase their support. We will seek funding from the CFWN to construct a pavilion and restrooms for participants in our education programs. We are delighted that our school field trips and presentations to church groups, senior groups and others have become so popular. But as you can imagine, it is difficult to host over eighty children, teachers and parents with only one restroom on site. There is also insufficient seating for lunches, lectures, and other activities. Please consider helping us meet the financial match needed to win a grant for this important project.
