The Company of Heroes 2 has gone Open Beta. The game so far feels like the original with some twists. This one takes place on the Eastern front where you can play as the Soviet Russians to fight back the German advance or The German army trying to invade. The new mechanics of blizzards and the cold coming out of nowhere in the middle of the fight is pretty slick, however this leaves your troops vulnerable to extreme cold forcing you to hide troops in either building or creating bond fires until the blizzard passes. The music has a very epic feeling of Mother Russia, and the dialogue of the troops is pretty funny at times. The performance of the game is decent. It can be solid for one minute then dip the next. especially when the blizzards hit. I encourage you to try the Beta because so far its a lot of fun.
