The Conjunction that is building between Mars and Saturn is significant for sure. However, it is something that occurs almost once a year based on Mars fast orbit. This one is much more heightened because Saturn is still holding his Trine with Chiron. The profound healing continues. Today, the Cancer Moon activates this pattern by creating a Grand Water Trine, driving home even more powerfully the message of self-care that all Cancer Moons bring. The Trine implies harmony and flow, so resonating with this idea today should be easier than usual. By the same token, the Cancer Moon also stimulates a tremendous amount of tenderness and sensitivity. Because all healings also usually include a measure of the wounding that precedes them, today could feature a great deal of emotionality. There are two planetary aspects today, one involving Mercury and the other Venus. This means that our relationship between the Mind and the Heart is up for adjustment. Ironically (well, I dont know if irony is really the right sentiment here), both of them involve Pluto, which means the Shadow and issues of power and authority are also on the table. Pluto is still involved in changing the lay of the land in unprecedented ways so that todays aspects, though ultimately minor ones in the scope of things, actually have a profound role in the longer journey of the past two years and the year ahead. We turn a big corner today, though I doubt any of us will really be aware of it while it is happening. Heres the nature of the shift today. Mercury will Trine Pluto, which means the Mind, arguably the more challenged of the human constructs, is in harmony with the Lord of the Underworld. This means that as the Mind and Heart calibrate toward proper alignment, we are able to be in synch with our power source without under or over thinking. At the same time, Venus will Inconjunct Pluto, the angle known as the Great Eliminator. We are able to use the Minds easy alignment to allow the Heart to drop a layer of obstacle or pattern of restriction in order for it to move to yet another level of openness. The Cancer Moon will also Square the Nodes and Uranus. A Square can bring up a conflict or obstacle and since Uranus is very close to the South Node right now, there is a distinct possibility that something from your past may just come up out of nowhere.
