The Continuing Legacy of American Stupidity....So..now that America finally has a surplus of something, namely natural gas, our damned government and corporations are talking about sending this commodity to Europe. Seems that every time this country gains an edge in anything that is good for our economy and people the corporations and government try to find ways to destroy that advantage. In this case of the natural gas supplies, the gas industry does not want us to have a surplus because they can make more profits if the supplies are low by claiming the supply and demand cop out. So naturally the industry tells the government that they want our natural gas placed on the world market so they will make larger profits. The most immediate result of this would be that the rates Americans pay for natural gas will increase dramatically. Personally I am sick of the American people having to sacrifice our well being for the sake of the rest of the damned world, and the greed of energy companies.Personally I believe we have sacrificed our well being for Europeans sake far too many times already, and seems like we are at it again. Will our government ever put the welfare of the its own citizens ahead of corporate greed and other countries? I have not seen it do so yet, and I doubt that it ever will.
