"On 6th July 2013, SkyVets was dispatched, following a report from the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) about an emergency case involving an elephant with a snare wound on its trunk in Tsavo West. A helicopter, with KWS veterinary officer Dr. Titus Kaitho on board, lifted off from Nairobi and just one hour later it had reached the location where the elephant was last seen. The next task was to locate the elephant and dart it so that the vet could assess the wound.
