The Cossacks will make the trek tonight to Moscow to compete in the annual Penguin Invitational - a tournament in which weve taken second place in two of the last three seasons. The tournament spans Friday and Saturday and is hosted by the defending champs Anglo-American School of Moscow. And guess what....for the first time ever, well have 5 of our own girls playing in the tournament as well! The girls will compete on a shared team with Anglo-American School of St. Petersburg and will participate in the girls junior varsity tournament as the Panthers. Weve not received official confirmation, but some of the games might be lived streamed online again this year! Well try to get that info to you as soon as we can confirm. Heres the schedule. FRIDAY 9 am – Junior Varsity Boys (JVB) vs. Deutsche School of Moscow (DSM); Girls vs DSM 10 am – Varsity Boys (VB) vs Anglo-American School of Moscow (AAS) 11 am – JVB vs Hinkson 12 pm – VB vs Hinkson; Girls vs Hinkson 2 pm – JVB vs International School of Moscow (ISM) 3 pm – Girls vs ISM SATURDAY 8:30 am – JVB vs AAS 11:30 pm – VB vs. Royal Basketball Club 1:30 pm – Girls vs AAS 2:30 pm – JVB 3rd place game; Girls 3rd place game 3:30 pm - VB 3rd place game 4:30 pm - JVB championship; Girls JV championship 6:30 pm - VB championship
