The Countdown Begins....365 days to Regime change! The countdown to the end of the present govt in Cross River State, . begins today. Whether for good or for bad, the actors will not remain the same, since this is the last term the Gov is serving out. Those who believe their Loyalty to the regime guarantees their continuing place in govt, consciously or otherwise, should ask President Obasanjo and his men (el Rufai, Fani- Kayode etc) Those party officials who believe enforcing the regimes selfish and self serving agenda blindly guarantees any influence in the new dispensation should ask chief Soni Abang. My advice : look to the next 365days beyond Gov. Imoke and factor a role for yourself by working towards it now. He will be powerless to protect your interest when he is out of office. Work with the understanding and sincerity of an enlightened patriot. Ask for Gods wisdom to be discerning. Ask yourself if indeed what is happening is ideal for our state and if it is the best we can have. Ask if you sincerely believe we do not need change. A small voice inside of you will give you the answer. Do not ignore it, have the courage to not only believe it but to do what you can to bring about that needed change! As council chairmen he can only pamper you with exotic cars while appropriating your allocation on your behalf for the next few months, but you will serve the remaining 2 years under a new govt. Be wise and open minded or you may create a hostile environment for yourselves. Happy Democracy Day!
