The County needs strong, progressive leadership and someone who has a proven record of getting things done. On virtually every issue the Democratic Party cares about, Ive provided leadership. -Ive been a champion for protecting our quality of life and for the environment. From my leadership of SOS to protect Barton Springs, to my work with RG4N to protect Allandale and surrounding neighborhoods and small businesses from a mega-Wal-mart, Ive stood up for you. -From working to make sure womens reproductive services were provided at our hospital and clinics, to marching with Wendy Davis during the filibuster and beyond, Ive stood up for you. - From opposing unnecessary tax subsidies for special interests like Formula 1,Ive stood up for you I am continuing to stand up for you by working to fix our broken property tax appraisal system, which is putting an unfair burden on homeowners and literally driving families out of Austin. While Ive taken strong stands during my 25 years here, I am proud to say this campaign is a big tent and includes many people Ive differed with over the years. This is the leadership I want to bring to the commissioners court. I want to be your champion and I would be proud to have your support, along with Senator Kirk Watson, Austin Firefighters Association, AFSCME (the County employees union), NXNW Democrats, Clean Water Action, Sierra Club, Central Texas Building Trades Association and over 1,400 leaders and community members. Help send a clear message for the March 4th primary so we can all get busy working to elect Wendy, Leticia and the rest of the Democratic ticket.
