At some point a couple years ago I realized that I was sitting on a huge amount of data that had been provided to me as part of the mapmaking process. Given enough time I could tell you, with a decent degree of accuracy, the most popular hotels, the most popular victorian house locations, the most popular downtown lofts, or what tax bracket Harry Lumer finds himself in. While my data doesnt cover every job, or even every job a map is made for, it does cover a strong percentage. I came to understand that the Crew Parking Lot / Base Camp information is still valuable, especially if neatly organized. You need parking lots: I know the most popular parking lots and many of the lesser popular ones as well. You need that information quickly: no problem. To date, myself and a couple assistants have spent in excess of roughly 500 hours organizing the lots into Google Maps Diagrams. Its all online and looks especially nice on the iPhone / Android system. In the past week weve gotten close to having added contact phone numbers to every lot. There are a couple hold outs but were on it. It should be totally complete by the end of the month. Just call or email me with your shoot address or addresses and Ill reply with a link to an online diagram. The service is totally free to all regular map customers.
