The Cries of the Eternally Damned from Hell. HELP WANTED; TOO LATE! Jude 3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. 4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. 5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. 6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. 7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (Thousands of years already!) The wicked Sodomites are still crying out and saying “HELP WANTED!” They would love to be able to come back and do things differently, to hear their preacher of righteousness, to repent and make things right with God. As they burn in the eternal flames of Hell today, they would gladly exchage places with you and me. But it is... HELP WANTED; TOO LATE! Luke 16: 19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: 20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, 21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. HELP WANTED IN HELL! 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. 26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. 27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house: send him to my father’s house: send him to my father’s house: send him to my father’s house: HELP WANTED; TOO LATE! 28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. 29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. 30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. • The anti-10 Commandments Crowd, the anti-God in the pledge, the anti-God , Bible and Prayer in the classroom and the anti-God period Crowd will not be saved until they are willing to hear Moses… until they are willing to accept the fundamental Bible teachings on the Creation, the origin of sin, the fall of man and the Word of God on Salvation by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His shed blood for our sins and His resurrection from the dead. • The God hating, Christian despising crowd will never be saved until they are willing to hear some man of God proclaim the message of salvation by grace through faith, based on a genuine repentance unto life as taught in the Scriptures. • I fear that unless the people of God do their job, these folks too will one day soon lift up their eyes in Hell wanting help that can not be found. HELP WANTED; TOO LATE! • “Show me somebody who has been to Hell and come back and I will believe in Hell,” some have said. II. TOO MUCH HELL FIRE! COMPARED TO WHOM? You are too hellfire and brimstone. Just too much of that hellfire and brimstone. Is your church all of that hellfire and brimstone stuff? Years ago Robert Schuller came out and said, to preach all of that hellfire and brimstone is uncouth and barbaric. He didnt always feel that way. As a younger minister he preached on it until Norman Vincent Peale came along and said, you dont find that in the Bible; Jesus doesnt do that in the Bible. Schuller came along and said, I guess he was right, Jesus wasnt that kind of preacher in the Bible. What Bible are they using? Look at Matthew 18:8; Christ says, Wherefore if thy hand or they foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out and cast from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire. Did Jesus preach hell, fire and brimstone? Look in Matthew 13:40, As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; and shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Look at verse 49, So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Hell, fire and brimstone? Compared to whom? Jesus preached more on hell than on heaven; you can study your gospels and find that true. Look at Matthew 7:21, Christ says, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. I will say it again, what Bible were they reading? I could go on and on, and on. I could take a month of Sundays and talk about the words of Jesus Christ on hell. Jesus Christ preached on hell, fire and brimstone. “Oh you are just too much of that hell, fire, and brimstone.” Compared to whom? I wonder how many souls have gone to Hell because they trusted in Norman Peale’s “power of positive thinking.”??? Or in Robert Schuler’s watered down, rose colored, multi-million dollar glass cathedral prosperity message, which is exactly what Satan wants to deceive millions of souls and lure them into Hell??? III. What is Hell like? Is it Real? Hell was also called: Gehenna (Greek, The place of Punishment) Hades (Greek, The Abode of the Dead) Sheol (Hebrew, The Grave or Unseen State) - The place of disembodied spirits • Which Christ visited after dying • Before Christ died and liberated the captive souls from Paradise, Hell was Separated from Paradise, which was then a place of rest in Abrahams bosom Hell is a place of torment - The place of future and eternal punishment • Eternal Separation from the presence of God - DESCRIBED AS • Everlasting punishment, Everlasting fire, Everlasting burnings, A furnace of fire, A lake of fire, Fire and brimstone Unquenchable fire, Devouring fire - Prepared for the devil and his angels - Devils are confined in, until the judgment day - Punishment of Hell is eternal - The wicked shall be turned into Hell - Human power cannot preserve from Hell - The body suffers in Hell. - The soul suffers in Hell - The wise avoid Hell and Endeavour to keep others from Hell - The society of the wicked leads to Hell - The beast, false prophets, and the devil shall be cast into Hell - BUT... The powers of Hell cannot prevail against the Church! IV. TOO AUTHORITATIVE! COMPARED TO WHOM? You are too authoritative; you speak with too much authority. Pastor, dont you know that nobody can say for sure? Dont you know, nobody really knows for sure where we came from? I mean there are all kinds of theories about how this thing evolved and nobody really knows where we are, why we are here and what happens when we die and where we will go. We cant speak with authority on those things. Oh really? So a Bible-believing preacher gets up and says that hell is a real place; hell is in the center of the earth. Hell is enlarging itself and he shows you from the Bible. Then he talks about heaven. Heaven is a real place; it is for the saved; its celestial beauty; its eternal, and its wonderful, and there are angels, and there is a devil. You must be born again and once you have been born again, then you can know for sure you are going to heaven, eternally secure, and never lose your salvation. When you die, your soul will be immediately in heaven if you are saved and in hell immediately if you are lost. There is a rapture coming on down the road where Gods people will be plucked right out of their shoes and snatched right up into heaven. There is going to be a battle which takes place in Armageddon, and Russia is going to march on Israel, and this world is going to go through a seven year tribulation period. Two-thirds of the population is going to die, and he says all of these things, and he gets them all from the Bible. Someone comes along and says to him, you dont know for sure. You cant say that; that is just your interpretation. In Matthew 7:28, And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine; For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. What a slam on the scribes. Here are the scribes. What is your interpretation of this? Well, here is what it means to me. And here is what it means to him and him. Give me a break. You are too authoritative. Compared to whom? Jesus spoke with authority. Isaiah 5:11 Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them! 12 And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the LORD, neither consider the operation of his hands. 13 Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. 14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. 15 And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled: 16 But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness. Church, we know! We know the truth about Hell, about Salvation. Help is wanted! How are you going to respond? What are you going to do?
