The Crimea referendum will go on as planned on Sunday and majority will vote to join Russia. The West will impose a form of limited sanctions against Russia in order to save face. And Russia will retaliate as promised. There will be no war as both sides will try to avoid that at all cost but the military build-up around Ukraine will continue. Any unlimited sanctions will hurt both sides as the West is not economically buoyant as it used to be in the past and Russia is presently more stronger economically than when the Soviet Union broke up. Russia will be forced to move closer to China, Iran and other non-Western rising powers such as India and Brazil and to expand its influence to other countries like Egypt. As for the Resistance Axis this infraction between Russia and the West is an advantage and the Resistance Axis should exploit that to its maximum advantage. A united Russia and China is more than a match for the entire West but Russia and China have their minor differences. As issues unfold, we wait and see......
