The Crystal Police Department received a call this afternoon regarding a suspicious individual in the neighborhood surrounding Forest Elementary. The caller stated that they believed the suspicious person may have been in possession of a knife. When officers responded to the area - they noticed that Forest Elementary had an outdoor recess happening at the time, and requested that staff take children inside and secure the building. Our officers patrolled the area where the suspicious person was seen, but did not make contact with anybody matching the callers description. At that time, officers cleared the incident, and informed the school that normal business could resume.
