The Cup (小喇嘛看世界盃 2002) Background set in a Tibetan - TopicsExpress

The Cup (小喇嘛看世界盃 2002) Background set in a Tibetan monastery-in-exile in India (in fact Bhutan), the movie follows a few young monks whose devotion to Buddhism is rivaled by their fervor for football (world cup soccer to us blinkered American style freedom). The movie centers on a charming young monk and rabid football fan named Jamyang Lordo (who is in fact the son of Orgyen Tobgyal, acting as Geko - a strict teacher and master at the monastery). Apparently buddhism is their philosophy... soccer is their religion! i.yai.bz/Assets/69/456/l_p1001845669.jpg
