The DNR shooting ranges are closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on November 27-28, reopening on Saturday, November 29. Also, the ranges are back to the regular schedule, five days per week, Thursday through Monday (closed Tuesday and Wednesday). The Dansville, Rose Lake, and Sharonville ranges are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Ortonville and Pontiac Lake ranges are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and a Recreation Passport is required for entry. There is still time to sight-in your firearm if you havent been successful the first few days of the deer season. This early cold weather is scheduled to moderate to 40+ degrees by the weekend. Other opportunities await you during the muzzleloading deer season in Zone 3, which runs from December 5-21.
