The Daily Fail amuses me. Despite my theory (probably wrong or at least hideously simplified) that their nasty little articles are at least partly responsible for the rise to prominence if not competence of UKIP, they persist in hilarious hypocrisy. I looked at their online site because I wondered what their public stance on UKIP was -their views seem similar but I suspect the Mails top dogs are more about cynically selling papers to narrow-minded idiots than necessarily reflecting the views of the people themselves (not least because such dumbness rarely lends itself to top jobs). Todays headlines, after a top story about Kate doing house renovations (slow news day?), are 1) about migrants cheating their way to British passports (bread and butter DM stuff)...then right underneath, an article rubbishing UKIP. I wonder how many times the DM board had meetings where someone said honestly, were not going to get away with this for much longer, someones going to notice... And then the whole board fell over laughing.
