The Daily Feast continues with an upset of the apple cart in cyberspace: 1. I have 909 friends listed as Facebook, some relatives, some former teammates, some former players who played on teams I coached, some former students, some former colleagues, some former classmates, some former students, some I met along lifes path, and some I have met on Facebook. 2. Now the interesting thing that I realized yesterday is that nine of my Facebook friends have purchased a copy of my fourth book of poems, An Appalachian Poet in San Francisco that I am pictured holding here on my Facebook page. 3. Those nine Facebook friends who have purchased one of my books equals just one percent of the total friends, leaving me to wonder about the 99 percent who have chosen not to read what I have written in An Appalachian Poet in San Francisco, that includes several award-winning poems along with several that have been published in magazines (I wish that I could mail a book to all 909 of my Facebook friends; however, it is beyond my power to do so because only 500 copies were printed by Mountain Empire Publications and my wherewithal and time do not permit me to do so--to read what others have written in reviews about the poems, just Google Amazon and type in M. Ray Allen to click on book reviews).
