The Daily Mail carry a sensational claim today in the Football Transfer Tavern as they note that Rio Ferdinand is going all out to land Manchester United boss David Moyes a pair of world class players. The club have long been linked with Robert Lewandowski who is in a tug of war currently between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich and also former Arsenal player Cesc Fabregas. Now Rio has urged the pair to think about a move to Old Trafford where he claims they will not regret playing. The defender noted: "If United come in for you, you take it. "Even if you are a great player you become a better one at this club. Cristiano Ronaldo became the best player in the world having come from Sporting Lisbon. "The likes of Ryan Giggs, Roy Keane, David Beckham, Andy Cole all became great players at United. With this platform you cannot believe anyone would ever turn it down. "If you have ambition your aim has to be to make a name for yourself at a top club. As a player aged between say 23 and 27 that is what you should be looking at. It shows you are going somewhere and want to win trophies." Do Manchester United stand any chance of landing Lewandowski or Fabregas this summer? Let us know your thoughts below.
