Prairie Wildlife Research is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that works to research and conserve wildlife species of the prairie and their associated habitats, with a primary focus on the endangered black-footed ferret. PWR leads and organizes the annual monitoring surveys for black-footed ferrets in Conata Basin, SD, one of the largest and most important recovery sites to date. Dakota Zoo staff and volunteers have had the privilege of working with Travis on the Conata Basin, SD surveys for the past two years. His many years of research experience coupled with the compelling story of the return of a species once thought to be extinct will make his presentation one you won’t want to miss!
