The Dalip Chand Buses Labasa football side says they will not feel the absence of Papua New Guinea internationals Koriak Upiaga and David Muta at the Courts Inter District Championships next week. The two who featured for the side in the Battle of the Giants will not be part of the side for the IDC. However, Labasa rep Pita Bolatoga, who is assisting coach Arthur Simmons, says they are ready to play in the tournament without the duo. “Those two players won’t be coming for the IDC but we have capable players in the team. Misaele Draunibaka is back from injury and we have other senior players who will fill in place of those PNG players. The boys are looking forward to the IDC and we will just go out there and give it our best in the games.” Meanwhile, the Super Premier matches at the IDC begin on Thursday week with Suva taking on Costal Rental/Nokia Nadroga at 2.15pm. At 3.30pm, Jacks Nadi battles Navua, while 4R Electrical Ba plays Labasa at 4.45pm. The last match of the day will see Lautoka and Rewa clash at 6pm. You can catch live commentaries of all these matches on Radio Fiji 2 with the voice of soccer, Raymond Stoddart. SOURCE:FBC
