The Danish Embassy is happy to announce that Ms. Hanne Fugl Eskjær, Danish Ambassador in Bangladesh and Shamim-ul-Huq, President, Nordic Chamber of Commerce and Industries in Bangladesh (NCCI) has signed an agreement to work together on energy efficiency in the private sector. The goal of the collaboration is to set up an Energy Efficiency Secretariat within NCCI. Through the secretariat, the engagement will promote the adoption of energy efficient practices and technology in Bangladeshi industry leading to significant lowering of costs and reduction of intensity of energy usage. This engagement is part of the Climate Change Adaption and Mitigation Programme agreement between Denmark and Bangladesh to jointly support such Green Growth initiatives in Bangladesh.
