The Dark Side of our Passion with the Recent Visit of the - TopicsExpress

The Dark Side of our Passion with the Recent Visit of the Pope Pope Francis is very human and is worthy to be described as the Pope of the People. We usually expect the Pope and with our religious passion to be divine and angelic when he smiles. Pope John Paul II has the Monalisa looks when he smiles. Very formal when he blesses the people by his Magic wand. The recent visit of Pope Francis was generally successful. Majority of the nearly 10 million crowd were all feeling blessed and happy as they enjoyed the happy laughing mood of Tyoy Kiko as some would fondly call him. He is the only Pope who consistently saying, Christ is the One he proclaims, thus calling people to be humble, generous and compassionate toward the poor. But everybody knows how people sacrificed themselves when they were risking their lives, their health, and all forms of dangers when they were in an open field, on the streets exposing themselves from the angry heat of the sun and on the cold night both risking their health from colds, pneumonia and severe coughs when many of them were just standing continuesly or lying down sleeping on the middle of the streets under the rain. Many were reported afterwards who got sick, one was reported died due to heart attack. The tragedy of what happened to Ms. Cristele who died when the structures of the Sound system gave-in immediately when Pope Francis left the place and rushing back quickly to the airport for MANILA due to the coming storm. The same major tragedy following that moment, when a chartered PAL went off-tracked from the runway and dove into the grasses. We cannot imagine how all government officials on board, who were feeling blessed by escorting the Pope divine, had suddenly refusing to be walking on the golden street of the so-called Heaven as they escaped the major threat of untimely death. The ordeals of Thousands of passengers from all the cancelled flights in many airports, both domestics and international flights of all airline companies. For sure, many of them may have various problems as a result of their non-duty or non appearances to their various professional functions and important businesses. The anguish and the physical exhaustion of thousands of policemen who were deployed in Metro MANILA, in Tacloban City, Leyte and elsewhere; and just lately, were all expressing their discontentment for the reported no food allowances, and cash supports for their straineous efforts just to ensure the security of Pope Francis. Many of them suffered mockery and subjects to embarrassment and criticism when they were posted in-place having their own respective diapers defying personal necessities in the urgency of the security of the pontiff. And above all, the scandals of getting rid of all the so-called street-children and who are family squatters along the Roxas Boulevard from their make-shifts or barong-barong Bahay and kept them away from the visitors or just to avoid the Pope to see them unattended by his church and/or by the government. They were brought to beautiful resorts, free-food, clothings, free accommodations for at least one to two weeks with all the promises of employment and jobs, housing, etc. but all these remain to be none at all! This impromptu write-up may just be showing us the tip of the total picture of what I call, the Dark Side of the Popes visit. Unfortunately, this is the scandal that both the leaders of the Roman Catholic Church and the Government of PNoy must address.
