The Day We Were Betrayed: When you look at where we are today and what we will allow, countenance, or promote, you have to shake your head at our complicity with depravity. Harsh summary I know, but necessary. We are now delivered into the hands of Bureaucracies that no longer serve us, but see themselves as our rulers. These mini-potentates use the rules and regulations that they administer to keep us under thumb rather than to serve our best interests and our needs. Most trips to Federal government offices (need I mention the DMV) show the armor of the unassailable and tenured, the dictator and their victim (that would be you). You can’t get these people fired, they know it, and they act like it. They know how to punish you if they see fit and if in their omnipotent judgement they decide to loose your paper work, you are s— out of luck. What we have created is a ruling class of people who decide when they will serve us and to what degree they will give us their somewhat divided attention. They get good salaries and great benefits that most would give their left testicle to have (sorry girls). Where we went wrong is when we gave government the right to “self rule”, which cut us out of the equation. The us that I refer to is Joe Public, the folks that government was designed to serve and secondarily answer to. They are our servants and not our masters. The other error we made was giving them the ability to re-budget themselves. That is to ask for more money to “increase productivity” and be more effective in ruling over us. So now government increases its demands on our tax burden and then spends it to assure its own security at our expense. Didn’t we fight a war to stop this sort of thing? Some will not like what I have said, but one trip to the DMV will silence many who run afoul of the ruling class. And take note folks, I have not mentioned politicians in this minor rant.
