The DeKalb County Tigerettes opened their fast pitch softball season with two victories over the visiting Jackson County Lady Blue Devils Monday in Smithville The Tigerettes won 23 to 1 in the first game and 12 to 0 in the second contest. In the first game, DC scored nine runs in the first inning and fourteen runs in the second. Jackson County scored one run in the second. The game went two and a half innings. The Tigerettes scored 23 runs on 12 hits and made no errors. Jackson County scored one run on one hit and made four errors . Lauren Colwell was the winning pitcher. Tyra Graham and Chelsea Brannon each had a homerun in the game. In the second game, the TIgerettes scored two runs in the first inning, one run in the second, four runs in the third, and five runs in the fourth inning. Jackson County was held scoreless. DeKalb County scored 12 runs on 9 hits and made no errors. Jackson County had one hit and made four errors. Kayley Caplinger was the winning pitcher.
