The DeSoto County Sheriffs Office reported an armed robbery at the CITGO Gast Station at 2009 S.E. State Road 70 (across from Seacoast Bank) on Friday, 4.4 around 11:30 a.m. According to DCSO, one man entered and held the clerk at gunpoint (described as black male, about 59, heavy-set, wearing black shirt and pants with green cloth over his face). A second man (described as black male, about 6 tall, thin, with black cloth over his face) went behind the counter and took money from the registers. Both left on foot and ran east. They may have been driving a white car last seen eastbound on Carlstrom Field Road toward St. Rd. 31.
