The Dees sign below shows prices of Deeburgers. Prompts me to try to remember a few low prices I remember for various stuff - Lowest Gas Price - 19 Cents/Gal at a cut rate station on the East side of Main Street in Spanish Fork. Lowest Gas Price I ever remember in Provo - 29 Cents/Gal DeeBurgers - Routinely on sale for 12 Cents. My Brother once ate a dozen in one sitting. Converse All Star Gym Shoes - $10.49 1964 Chevrolet Impala 4-Door with 283 V8 and Auto - $2,800 (Dad knew how to dicker) 1968 Corvette 427 - $4,600 (Every kid knew this. Dr. Allen had a gorgeous dark green one. He told me how much it was worth) Property in Northeast Provo - $2,500/Acre (Mid 1950s 1959 Austin Healey 3000 Mk 1, Convertible with removeable hardtop, Toggle Overdrive, Ran as well as most British Sports cars, Bought in ~1968 - $300 4 Horsepower Tote Gote - $250 - New from Bonham Corp. Corbin Pants - I think they were $25 - $30, which made Dad choke. Gant Shirts - ~$16 (I could be way wrong on that one) Weejuns - Not a clue. Minimum Wage I remember working for - $1.25/hr (I was probably worth that) Total Date Cost for a real cheap but fun guy from Provo, including movie and cheap food - $6 Total. Included Gas in 1960 Ford Half Ton pickup truck. (Let me defend myself - the most exotic date I ever took a girl on was to a football game in Denver. I paid for round-trip tickets and high class (about $15) food in Denver. High living) Anybody want to add to the list? Dispute my numbers? Knock yourself out.
