The Delaware County Fallen Firefighter & EMS Memorial Committee along with the Delaware County Law Enforcement Foundation, Delaware County Council, and the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office would like to invite you to join us for the annual Delaware County September 11th Remembrance Ceremony. This year’s 9/11 remembrance ceremony will take place at 11:30 am on Wednesday, September 11, 2013. The event will take place rain or shine at the County’s 9/11 Memorial which sits between the Delaware County Fallen Firefighter & EMS and Law Enforcement Memorials at Rose Tree Park. There will be a tent in the event of inclement weather. Annually, both memorial committees work with the District Attorney’s Office and County Council to take time out to not only remember the events and sacrifices that were brought upon our country on 9/11/01, but to honor all of Delaware County’s Emergency Service Heroes, both living and deceased. 2013’s service will be hosted by District Attorney Jack Whelan, attended by the members of County Council with remarks from Chairman Thomas McGarrigle, several other dignitaries, music by a choral group from Archbishop Carroll High School, 3 bagpipe players, and bugler, Honor Guards from the Delaware County Fallen Firefighter & EMS Memorial, the Chiefs of Police, and Sheriff’s Office, and local Police, Fire, and EMS units. It is suggested that if you are attending, please be at Rose Tree Park by 11:15 am. Any questions, please contact Rich Heffernan at [email protected].
