The Deli was an absolute stand out yesterday. It was like one of those dreams youd never want to wake up from. Started off with the Grilled spicy calamari....exactly how you WANT calamari to be...NOT chewy. This was one of the only restaurants where the calamari is served grilled and not fried. Next came the Chicken Caesars salad. Now most people think, Dude, how can you get a salad wrong?! Believe me, you can. From the crunchiness of the salad leaves, to the type of leaves-not just iceberg lettuce dropped on a plate, to the amount of dressing (consistency and flavour of the dressing, nothing short of heaven reaching your mouth). Perfection from start to finish. We also ordered the Spaghetti with chicken, sundried tomatoes, roasted garlic and rocket leaves and OH MY GOD. Let me say that one more time..... OH MY GOD. You dont understand....and I cant emphasize enough how AMAZING this dish turned out to be. It is perfect for those people who like a little kick to their meals, pasta was perfectly cooked and the roasted garlic is ALWAYS a plus point so yeah. The Chicken Tarragon in the honey mustard sauce with the potato gratin was mediocre by comparison. However, the Mediterranean grilled snapper was surprisingly good. It was fresh, plump and melted in your mouth. Bursting with flavour, it was everything you wanted it to be. Stir fry Khaosuay was a gamble but one that paid off. It wasnt heavy, made you want to go back for more because of its perfect balance of flavours and because it looked so damn good. Presentation went a long way and was backed up by a chef who CLEARLY knew what he/she is doing. It was truly love at first, second and third bite.
