The Denver VA Hospital construction is $500 Million over budget. $500 Million! They are continuing the project using what they refer to as an artificial budget. Has anyone heard of such a thing? A Congresswoman is requesting a timeline of when she will get a timeline of when the VA will know the actual cost for completing the project. The VA is requesting more money from Congress in the meantime to pay for a project operating off an artificial budget. Thats absurd. I think the VA needs to get out of the hospital construction business.
