The Department of Anthropology at the University of Lethbridge invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor, to begin July 1, 2015, subject to budgetary approval. The successful candidate will have a strong program of research in the anthropology of the environment and sustainability including, but not limited to, contemporary or ethnohistorical research focused on ethnobotany, traditional ecological knowledge, or science and technology. We have a geographic preference for research covering North America, South Asia, or the Middle East. ABDs are welcome to apply, but the Ph.D. must be in hand by July 1, 2015. The position is open to all qualified applicants, although preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
