The Department of Biological Sciences and the Center for Computation & Technology will be sponsoring a seminar series for undergraduate students by professors involved in computational biology. The reason you are receiving this invitation is that people in computational biology need people with a computer science background that can speak their language. By attending this seminar series you will learn about the tools and programs required in this type of research and over time you will be able to prepare yourself to work in any research group on campus. While the programs are different in different disciplines the tools are similar or the same. This seminar series is designed so that all seminars are understandable at the undergraduate level. Please attend the first talk on Monday, September 9th. Pizza and sodas available from 5:00 and the seminar starts at 5:30. The seminar series will be held in the Life Sciences Annex Atrium and Auditorium on the corner of Highland Road and South Campus Road.
