The Depth of Vision is Changed “Come and see” John 1:46-48 KJV) And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee. What Nathaniel seen was greater; his vision was being changed from one who questioned to one who believed. Our vision will need to be changed from faith to faith. But the first thing in my opinion that changed was that the vision of Christ was beyond that of his own. When we learn this we perceive the omniscient of Christ and gain a great place of understanding “Whence knowest thou me?” When our perspective of vision connects to His omniscient then we will walk where he would have us to walk, and see what He will have us to see. In reality when we see Him we leave the natural realm of operating in the fears and blindness of the natural man to that which takes us to the place that we only move when clearly see and define Him in vision. When we see the Truth we have true vision! Psalms 139:1 KJV) To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. Psalms 139:2 KJV) Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Psalms 139:3 KJV) Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. Psalms 139:4 KJV) For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether. When you stop and think about His omniscient’s words can hardly describe the depth this has added to our vision. When we are in our down time He knows, when we arise He knows, and he knows our thought we have yet to think; incredible. All our ways He is well acquainted with, and there is not a word we will ever utter that is not already known by Him. Is it any wonder that David makes this statement? Psalms 19:14 KJV) Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. This bring us not only into greater vision but also into the depth of relationship that He would desire from us. Elisha’s servant needed to see beyond the natural to the actual thing around them in that realm of the supernatural 2 Kings 6:17 KJV)And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. So as He invites us to “Come and see” we must understand that just like in Nathaniel’s case this is an invitation to see His omniscient and worship Him!! Praise the Lord for His All Knowing!! Psalms 147:5 KJV) Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite. Pastor Mark Fox First Assembly of God Glen Rose, Texas
