The Des Moines Police Department is asking for assistance locating a missing elderly male. James Franklin Jones is an 81 year old who is 5’9” and 190 lbs. He has blue eyes and a bald head and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a plaid shirt. Mr. Jones was last heard from at 11:10 am today when he contacted his daughter by phone stating he needed assistance with his car. Mr. Jones does need medication and it is unclear if he has this medicine with him. He also is possibly showing early signs of dementia. A possible vehicle being used by Mr. Jones is a grey 2009 Ford Focus with Iowa plate 704 ZJY. Anyone who comes in contact with Mr. Jones or his vehicle is asked to contact The Des Moines Police Department or their local law enforcement agency. DMPD Case # 2014-35539
