The Desean Jackson rumors keep on going. Ive written about this a few times gone back and forth. In the beginning when I started seeing these D-Jax trade rumors i was thinking are the eagles crazy? After awhile I thought about it and it would be a smart idea to trade D-Jax. When Chip Kelly was asked a few days ago about the D-jax trade rumors he didnt address them. Jackson had his best statistical season as receiver last year under Chip Kelly. You can bet his trade value sky rocketed because of that. So say the eagles can get more draft picks would you be opposed to that? Like Howie stated the eagles are a team that builds through the draft I mean look t what the Seahawks gave up to get Percy Harvin heck take a look back and anyone remember when Jerry Jones traded for Roy Williams? I believe Dallas gave up a 1st rounder and a 3rd rounder to get him. That trade turned out to be horrible lol Just saying its worth exploring a D-Jax trade. You also have to take into consideration Chip and Howie could be looking long term. We already got Riley Cooper locked up long term and Maclin comig back this year. One knock on Jackson is hes undersized for the receiver position and yes, he does have a tendency to struggle in the redzone. If you look at the receivers though that have been around in the NFL long term names like Calvin Johnson, Larry Ftzgerald, and Marques Colston just to name a few these guys are big physical receivers something weve lacked. If we trade D-jax we really wouldnt be missing as much considering that this years NFL draft is one of the deepest receiving pools in a long time. We dont necessarily need to draft a receiver early to get a good one. The free agent pool also has some quality receivers as well. The last thing I wanna address is the contract extension and so called more money demand. I mean the eagles just gave him a contract extension just 2 years ago. A guy like Larry Fitzgerald who is a way more better receiver restructured his contract to help his team. the last thing we need is another T.O situation so if a trade is available for D-jax and the right package is presented I wouldnt be as disappointed.
