The Detroit Free Press is reporting someone recently drove over a football field at the shuttered Temperance Road Elementary in Monroe County, causing about $6,000 of damage. The Bedford Public Schools field is used by the Bedford Hornets, a team of players ages 8 to 12. The school closed last year. The field is the second damaged this year in the area. In August, authorities say grass killer was used to destroy a significant amount of the field spanning the length of Bedford Community Stadium field. A woman, her teenage daughter and the daughters boyfriend were charged in the case.
