The Dimmit County Extension office is collecting donations for US troops stationed in Afghanistan. Josie has a cousin who is currently stationed in Afghanistan till January. The base where Josie’s cousin and his unit are is in the process of shutting down. Their PX closes in August and in October they will no longer be able to receive mail. The Extension office decided to collect donations for their unit. Below are a list of items they are in need of. Donations will be accepted through Monday, July 29th. Anyone interested in assisting with shipping fees can donate $1.00. Items: • Deodorant • Shampoo/Conditioner • Body wash/bars of soap • Toothpaste • Foot Powder • Feminine products
